The PCs connive and arrange a celebratory part with Clezo the Rodian Vigo. His daughter Clee has returned to act as hostess and is especially gracious to the PCs. Clezo tolerates their presence during the part. No one really notices when they sneak off to search for the Vault in Clezo’s mansion.
Chan slips out the back to get their get away speeder ready. Alsinna finds a wall that is much too thick and believes it to be hiding something. Zeb, Aaman, and their Gran friend Hurd remove the paint on the walls to reveal a hidden lift.
They take the lift down to a hidden lower level with an awful smell. They keep Tripnik with them to prevent him from betraying them. As the lift doors open into darkness, glow rods are used to dimly illuminate their destination, the Vault.
The lift doors are in the middle of a long hallway with two blast doors on each end. One end has the dead body of a Yuzzem. The PCs try to contact Chan using their comlinks, only to find out their signal is blocked. The dead Yuzzem has a datapad with a message to Shu Mai still in its inbox. The message from the Yuzzem, Pok, details his space ship blowing up on the launch pad outside (where Clezo’s yacht sits currently). He dragged himself down to the Vault to hide. He states he is awaiting backup and the PCs realize that none ever came.
The blast door next to Pok opens up to a lift. The PCs calculate it opens up right under the launchpad outside of the city’s bubble. The blast doors at the other end have a very secure electronic lock and what looks like a hidden blaster array in the ceiling above the door.
Zeb is at first confounded by the lock before realizing that Pok’s datapad is the key. Instead of hacking the door, Zeb uses Pok’s datapad to connect the door and convince the lock that Pok is opening it. The door to the Vault slowly opens. Inside are holo-art and sculptures once owned by the greats house of Coruscant. Before any further cataloging is done, the lift to the inside of Clezo’s estate begins to open. The PCs suddenly realize that Tripnik is missing.
When the lift opens, out jumps Tripnik, Morda, and several bounty hunters intent on taking the Missing Treasure of Coruscant from the PCs. The PCs open fire while Hurd draws his vibro-sword and charges. Morda and Sin trade fire before Sin is struck and falls. Zeb begins to hack the security of the Vault to fire it’s blaster at the bounty hunters. Aaman desperately tries to give first aid.
Hurd wins his sword duel and the blaster from the Vault lays waste to all the bounty hunters except Morda. Finally, Sin recovers enough to roll with her Disruptor rifle into a shooting position. She takes aim at Morda and squeezes the trigger. Morda is fatally wounded and falls. The blaster fire ends enough that Hurd can approach the lift to find Tripnik cowering inside.
Now that the PCs have their treasure they try to extract it using the lift by Pok. After taking it to the surface, the hidden exit brings them to where they expect. However, instead of seeing Clezo’s yacht, they find themselves standing under a Lamda class shuttle. Imperial storm troopers and crawling all over Clezo’s estate. None of the Imperial’s see them, so they discreetly return to the lift and go below ground again. The last thing they hear are an incoming message from COMPNOR HQ to Commander Bopa.
Once below, Zeb fashions a thermal detonator into a blasting charge in the Vault’s wall nearest an old sewer line they discovered in Rodian records. The blast opened a hole to the sewer line and they are now able to call for Chan’s pickup. They load their ill gotten treasure into their speeder and make for their ship. They quickly leave Rodia with plans to fence the goods using Chan’s underworld contacts.
